Mount Joy Barn
This in-frame shaker kitchen sits peacefully at the heart of an 18th century barn conversion. Beneath the arched vaulted oak braces, hand-worked cabinetry and hewn granite reflect the traditional crafts of the building itself.

Thoughtful Details
The run of in-frame oak cabinets is topped by an L-shaped granite worktop that grounds the space with its deep-veined pale stone. The granite continues as splashback and upstand, while also topping a large central island that serves equally for preparation, dining and gathering.
Above the worktop, tall upper cabinets topped by glazed display units draw the eye toward the vaulted ceiling. The cabinetry is painted a quiet grey, a tone that shifts as the day moves through the space. Behind the glazed doors, the use of a deep nightfall red complements the hand-stained oak used elsewhere.
Antique satin lacquered hardware completes the cabinetry with considered elegance. A door opens onto the rural grounds beyond, and the kitchen, like the barn that houses it, feels as though it could only ever have been made this way.
