Hanham House
Tailored and precise, this contemporary shaker kitchen masterfully blends the timeless craftsmanship of traditional cabinetry with sleek, modern design. Less utilitarian, more beautifully curated living space, the kitchen honours the 19th-century roots of this historical home nestled in the gateway to the Mendip Hills.
Location: Somerset
Scope: Kitchen design & build

Thoughtful Details
Faced with a long architectural footprint, a dividing wall was introduced to carve the space into two distinct yet interconnected zones. Painted cabinets anchor the kitchen with moody depth, while relaxed, neutral walls provide contrast with clean, understated elegance.
The soft, clean veining of the counter and island top brings a serene, calming elegance to the room. A glazed door creates a fluid transition between the primary kitchen and the more utilitarian walk-in larder. Seamlessly integrating a wine cooler, secondary fridge, sink, and supplemental cabinetry, this larder serves as a dedicated prep area, allowing the main kitchen to remain a structured, uncluttered backdrop for hosting guests.
